It Would not Be Spring without:

I saw the first butterfly today, a Spicebush Swallowtail. I caught a glimpse of him this morning. I got a closer look this afternoon when I thought to see if bees were visiting blueberry blooms. There was the butterfly, nectaring on Henbit blossoms. Azaleas are starting to open so Tiger Swallowtails should show up soon.

All these are blooming here on the First Day of Spring. The air is filled with fragrance of Pear blossoms and Tea Olive.
