Lilies of the Fields

Lilies of the Field mentioned in the Bible are believed by some to be Anemones. Some believe Gladioli because they can grow in somewhat dry conditions, and leave woody stems that can be burned for fuel.

Those lilies sure are beauties! I told you June 8 that my 2 are about to bloom. Well, they tease as much as asters, holding on to the buds before opening up. I'm checking multiple times a day, and just know that one of them is ready to pop open.
