The first seedling of 2013. I collected seeds from the big Camellia japonicas in the garden, even picking them up off the ground when I missed a pod that opened. No special preparation, just put them in a tray of potting mix with a little vermiculite on top to keep a crust from forming. Since this pic was taken, another has emerged.
